MAYAN ENCOUNTER TOUR - full day tour
Your encounter with the Maya culture starts with a 1,500 year-old
historical journey to the ancestral city of Cobá, an archaeological
site hidden deep inside the rain forest of south-eastern Yucatan
Peninsula. You will have the chance to climb Nohoch Muul temple
on top of which you can admire the pristine beauty and immeasurable
vastness of the surrounding sub-tropical rain forest.
The
Mayan Encounter journey then leads to an authentic Maya village,
a self-sufficient Maya community living next to an integral part
of the region's lagoon system.
After
this an unforgettable off-track adventure tour begins: exciting
zip-line flying over a beautiful cenote, rappelling down into another
cenote, a refreshing swim and canoe paddling on the lagoon.

JUNGLE CROSSING EXPEDITION– full day tour
The adventure tour starts with a Jungle Crossing in a 4x4 all-terrain
vehicle to get to Rancho San Felipe, a small Maya family community
where the Nohoch Nah Chich cenote system is located (the second
longest underground river system in the world!).
Here
you will undertake an unforgettable snorkeling adventure into the
fresh waters of the underground rivers, swimming deep inside the
caverns where you can observe stunning stalactite and stalagmite
formations above and below this crystal-clear water. You will then
be transported to "Heavens Gate", another entrance to
this beautiful underground river system.
A
traditional Maya lunch prepared by the women of this community then
awaits you at the ranch. After lunch you will have the opportunity
to visit the ranch and its inhabitants, a small Maya family that
have lived in this remote jungle location for the last 30 years.
The
expedition then takes you to the virtually untouched bay of Punta
Soliman where you will participate in a sea kayak expedition out
to the reef system and snorkel to observe the corals, sponges and
tropical fish of the Mexican Caribbean.

MAYAN ZIP LINE EXPEDITION– half day tour
An
incredible combination of Maya culture, natural treasures, and unforgettable
adventure activities! Break away for half a day and travel to Chikin-Ha,
an exclusive, protected natural sanctuary that is only a few minutes
drive out of Playa del Carmen, Mexico.
Your
journey on this Mayan Zip Line Expedition ® begins with a bike
ride through the farmlands of Don Silvano where you will enjoy the
surrounding jungle scenery and learn about local Maya subsistence
farming.
You
will arrive at an extraordinary system of cenotes where you will
be swimming and snorkeling in the crystal clear waters.
Next
you will set out on flight over the jungle's foliage and cenotes
on a series of the most thrilling zip-lines of Mexico, last zip-line
is 160 meters above the forest canopy!

journey will end in the mystic dry cenote of the legendary Aluxes
where you’ll witness a traditional Mayan purification ceremony
and learn about the religious and cultural importance of the cenotes

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR ALL THE ABOVE MENTIONED TOURS:
The expeditions are not suitable for people with severe physical
or motor handicap or serious heart problems, nor for obese people
or people who are not able to handle physical activity. It is not
recommended for pregnant women. Children under the age of 6 may
participate under the responsibility and direct supervision of a
responsible parent or family member. People under the influence
of alcohol or drugs will not be permitted to participate in the
expeditions.
